Here is my timeline of my eating disorder!



Timeline:

August 2017- Started worrying about my weight and started to eat a little bit healthier. (Also got accepted into competitive dance)

September 2017- School started and competitive dance started. I started to cut down leading to only eating like 600 calories a day and exercising at home intensely as well as dance.

March 2018- Started recovering and extreme hunger period during spring break after my dance teacher talked to me and I cried.

April 2018- Was slowly gaining my weight again then I noticed so I started to cut down gradually but not too much so my mom wouldn’t notice.

July 2018- Went to korea for a break. I only ate like one meal a day and walked EVERYWHERE. By then I returned to my weight that I ended up with before I recovered (very low BMI)

September 2018- Started recovering (Still fearful of greasy foods, meats, starch and counting calories)

March 2019- Was pretty much at peace and was weight restored!

August 2019- I got constipated for like a month for some reason so I kind of lost weight. During this time I started to restrict to certain food groups.

September 2019- March 2020- Restored my normal weight (didn’t think about food too much because I was extremely busy with school)- however still afraid of seasoning and spicy foods.

March 2020- JUne 2020: started cutting down what I was eating and started exercising too much, fear of certain food groups emerged again from the control I acquired by staying at home (and not going out to restaurants- I would go out to restaurants with my friends to challenge myself because they acted as a distraction). Only ate clean and restricted myself too much. (like meat without any dressing, no spicy stuff, no white bread, no starchy food, no seasoning - also i kind of don’t like spicy stuff in general but it was getting too strict even when I had cravings.

JUne 2020: trying to eat what I want to have and trying diverse foods to contradict my thoughts. E.g., I had pizza last night!(: And ate tteoboki and jjapaghetti too. Trying to have more fea foods that I have been avoiding.

July 2020: Started going on runs now! Eating more foods I want to during the week and am slowly letting go of the fear that I ONLY need to eat completely clean and am trying to make food my friend! (It’s going well atm btw(:)
